Cours de didactique

This page is part of a course in didactics given to Third Year students in the department of English of the UVSQ. It is for students who plan to take up a career as language teachers, and is intended to give an introduction to both the theory and the practice of teaching English as a Foreign Language in Secondary Schools.

If you are signed onto this course, you are expected to use this part of the web-site as a resource, and to contribute to it through posting questions and comments. You do this by using the e-mail links to my electronic address - it looks like this : tmason@timothyjpmason.com. If you activate the link, an e-mail message form will open up in a separate window - if you have e-mail installed on your machine.

You may then write your message into the form, and send it off the next time you go on-line. In most cases, you will find that the Subject line has already been filled in, but you may wish to change this or make it more precise. I will reply to all questions both directly and on the web-page, and comments by students will be posted on the web-site. If you are not a student at the UVSQ or the IUFM de Versailles, I will reply, but it might take a little time.

Here you will find an outline of the course, and the the marking scheme. In the outline, each link will take you to another page with further details. If you wish, you can go straight to the lectures, to the modules or to the seminars.
